Xenical is a weight loss diet pill formulated by Roche Laboratories Inc. It is a prescription drug given to ward off obesity. The infusion of Xenical (Orlistat) in the body inhibits lipase in the stomach which helps in minimising the breaking down of fats into simpler forms so as to stop formation body fats. As compared to other weight loss drugs, Xenical is fairly a long-term weight loss diet pill.

The effect of Xenical can be of greater importance if it is taken simultaneously with exercises. Exercise is a natural way of getting out of obesity but is time consuming. And introduction of a weight loss diet pill like Xenical (Orlistat) quickens the process of weight loss by this natural process.

Xenical is prescribed for persons who have at least have BMI of 30 and persons with BMI of 27 or greater with health risks like high cholesterol, blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes. The usual dose of it is a pill a day around half an hour to an hour before taking meals. But a doctor?s advice must be followed in case there is a contradiction on its dosage.

An obese individual who is to take Xenical must consult a doctor in case he or she has heart disease, diabetes, allergy, paralysis and blood pressure. Intake of Xenical should also be consulted with a doctor if it is to be taken by a pregnant woman or a breast feeding mother.

Mild and short-term side effects like restlessness, sleeping disorder, dry mouth and nervousness may appear in the first few days of taking Xenical. Usually these side effects cease to appear once an individual?s body adapts to it.

Obesity is a spreading in UK as elsewhere in the world. The menace of obesity is even spreading across children. The average weight of children in UK is increasing day by day. It is time to contain this menace. Unless one stops this menace the number of people affected by heart diseases, cardiovascular diseases, strokes and diabetes would increase tomorrow. Xenical is for letting of excess fats from the food intake and it is not a substitute of exercises and diets.
